These few days have been really busy, due to the project and pass downs that I need to complete before leaving.

Officially told my boss that I'm only able to work till the end of the month and Joy sent out an email to the whole team informing them about the news. Had some mix feelings that I'd had to leave..

1. Happy that I'll be able to get back home and be with my family

2. Happy that I'll be able to eat the foods which I craved for the 16month which I've been here

3. Happy that I'll have more time blogging.. ^-^ haha...

4. Happy that I'll have more time for myself

5. Happy that I do not need to wake up so early in the morning

6. Happy that I do not need to stand in cold waiting for the bus or train or cramp back in trimet

7. Sad that I'll need to look for job again.. >.<

8. Sad that I'm gonna miss all the colleagues here

9. Sad that I'm gonna miss all those creamy and cheesy foods here

10. Sad that I'm gonna miss the super fast download speed here

11. Sad that I'll need to be back to reality...

It was my first time having girl scout cookies I think.. haha..

Do You Have Paraskavedekatriaphobia?

Is Today your Lucky or Unlucky Day?
People tends to say that Friday the 13th is an Unlucky day, so I tried to search it out in Wikipedia..
Amazingly I found the word "Paraskavedekatriaphobia" (such a long word) which means that a person is phobia of Friday the 13th. There were lots of history about this day which brings bad luck to people but I did not see any which says it is lucky? haha.. try to read the defination "Friday the 13th is a superstition about a day of good or bad luck." So it do mean that it could be a lucky day too where americans say the Lucky13.
Today will be the 1st day for NBA All star Game 2009, will there be any extraordinary stuffs happening? ^-^ Let's See...
For me, if you think you are Lucky that day, then you will be! So just try to imagine that everyday is a Lucky day to atleast be Happy for the day :)

~ HomeTown Buffet ~

Visited Hometown Buffet last weekend.. We were actually planning to have DimSum at China Bay for brunch but too bad they do not serve DimSum and we ended up at the Hometown Buffet at Beaverton due to my laziness to crack out my head thinking where to have our brunch J The food there are quite nice and is really cheap if you use the coupon given when you register as the e-club member online . By the time we reached there it was already after 11 so we had to pay for the Sunday lunch menu which cost about $12 each. There are varieties of dessert which I loved, especially the yogurt ice cream!
While eating, a waitress was going table to table asking if anyone wants a cinnamon bun and I was so excited waiting for the waitress to come but… she passed out table and move on to the others. GeeEeeZzZz… Racist? ArGhh.. this wasn’t the 1st time.. few weeks ago when I went to CheeseCake Factory at Washington Square, we were treated differently too. The table beside us got a special menu of the day which we didn’t and I was complaining bout that which might be too loud and the waitress heard it so she took the menu for us.. Worst than that was the table beside us got a coupon the be use for their next meal and we didn’t! Gosh! Why are people treated differently due to their skin colour? Why did god created different races? Why didn’t he created just 1 races and 1 religion so that racism would not exist.. aRhHhh… Suddenly somethine struck my mind.. a sentence which I always use to say to my Dad once ago when he talks about the Rich and Poor.. I would just say “Rich or Poor makes no difference on the air you breathe!”. Even if you are a millionaire or a beggar you still breathe the same air! Maybe the scientists have already invented something for the Rich to be able to filter the polluted air which might happen someday. Just hope that human being will be able to treat one another the same for what-so-ever J

Oh My.. Oh My.. I just got back from the sneak preview of "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and I'm still awake here typing.. haha.. while all of it is still fresh in my mind, I'd better pour it out 1st, else I'll be too lazy to write down anything :)
Actually, I got the sneak preview ticket from the PDX Radio team.. er.. 101. something? EeEekksSs.. Got so much goodies from them and can't even remember their radio station.. OoooOooPPpppSsss.. SoRrY.. I'll find it out the next time I get some free goodies.. ^-^ hehehe.. The Movie was at Regal 18 Bridgeport Village. That's a nice place to go Q up for movies since there ain't that much people like the Cinema at Lloyd center but still you have to be there an hour early to get a good seat ~

By the way, the movie was ... Sweet... Touching.. Funny.. Loving.. WoW... (it isn't as boring guys) it's worth to watch eventhough it sounds like a fairytale ^-^ The main actor in some way reminded me of my ex-colleague Michelle, maybe they look alike?

The 44 Places to go in 2009 @ Penang

Received this link from my ex-colleague in a fwd mail.. hehe.. That's what a normal employee does at work --> Fwd-ing mails :p

This was pretty kewl! Coz Penang was in the list of "The 44 places to go in 2009". The place which I miss so much for almost a year.. If you haven't been to Penang, Malaysia yet, faster hop on the plane and head over to the food heaven ^-^

Remember to vote for it if you've been there before and Luv-it! Hmm.. I fwd-ed this link to a few of my colleagues which haven't been there b4 and after doing so, something struck my mind.. OMG! How or why would a person who do not love food consider heading to the food heaven? Especially someone who counts every calorie they consume.. haha.. Did I fwd-ed it to the wrong person? Hmm.. Neh.. Penang is not just a Food Heaven, there are plenty of things to do over there!

The beaches is one of the main attactions of tourist all year long too! Besides, there are many Historical sites such as the P Ramlee's House (for those who do not know whois P Ramlee.. he is a famous actor aka singer during the black and white Tv era); KekLokSi Temple is an attraction spot in Penang too (Tips: Before heading up to the temple, try out the Laksa[noodle] and get yourself a fresh coconut drink to cool you down under the hot weather! Still a bundle of places to visit which I don't think I'll be able to introduce it all here. The shopping malls ain't as fancy as those in KualaLumpur(the capital of M'sia) but they are worth a visit too ^-^

~ Overlook Family Restaurant ~

Of the many local restaurants that I've been to.. I would say that this is a hidden gem :)

They do offer amazing set meals which is different everyday for dinner with affordable price!

I had the combination meal of their Greek dishes - Soulvaki, Cabbage Rolls and Mousaka which comes with your choice of Soup/Salad, Spaghetti/Rice Pilaf/Potato(Whipped/French Fries/Baked) that cost below $10!!

Besides the cheap price, the food taste perfect and the service was a 5star too! I was so tempted to the combination meal which I ordered because I've never tried this type of Greek food before. I'm not sure if they are real authentic Greek food but it really taste good! Worth to go for try if you are somewhere at Swan Island or N Interstate Ave - Overlook Family Restaurant!
